Last Day in Washington

Visited the Pentagon and particularly the memorials to those servicemen and servicewomen as we’ll as well as civilians who were killed in the 9/11 terrorist attack upon the building. Then went to the Arlington Cemetery to watch the Changing of the guard at the unknown soldier memorial. Visited the JFK resting place and then to see President Roosevelt’s memorial and a walk around the lake. An exciting finale to the trip to meet another astronaut and the Discovery shuttle at the Udvah Hazy Air and Space Museum. Transfer to Washington airport for the long journey home.

Day 2 Boggy Creek and Shopping

We travelled at top speed on an airboat through the Florida Everglades and appreciated the tranquility only to be snapped by a 12foot alligator. Had our photos taken holding “Poseidon”. Then we shopped until we dropped at the Outlet stores and now understand what Walmart is all about. Our dinner at Venito’s was belissimo!
